Does your fuse box still take wire fuses? Has it got no RCD? Then it is doing far less than a modern one. A new consumer unit gives each circuit its own safety switch. So a fault trips one circuit, not the whole house. We fit surge protection too, which looks after your boiler, TV and laptop.
We test your circuits first. A new board can show up faults the old one hid, so we tell you about them before we fit it. Each switch gets a clear label, so you know what has tripped. The boards in our photos are our own work, cables dressed neatly and every switch labelled.

How long does a fuse box change take?
Most of the time one day, often less. The power is off for part of it. Tell us if that is a problem and we will plan round you.
Do I have to change my fuse box?
No. But an old fuse box will not protect you from a shock like a new one does. We will tell you honestly if yours needs doing.

How much does a new fuse box cost?
