How much does a rewire cost?
Most full rewires of a three bed house in Thurrock and south Essex cost between £4,500 and £8,000. The size of the house, the number of circuits and how much making good you want all move the price. We look at the house first, then give you one fixed price in writing before any work starts.
Can we stay in the house?
Most of the time, yes. We work room by room and keep power on at night where we can. On some jobs it is quicker with the house empty and we will tell you straight.
How long does a rewire take?
About one to two weeks for a normal three bed house. It depends on the size and whether you are living in it. You get a plan before we start.
How do I know if my house needs a rewire?
Look for old fuses you can pull out, cables in rubber or cloth, warm sockets or too few sockets. An EICR will tell you for sure. We will never push a rewire you do not need.
